Darlex are designed to last for 10 years. Increase your recording duration or speed by fitting bigger disk drives. Add fast network downloading etc .	Record for one year by removing the 6TB cassette after one month or more and then use another. Simple idea.

DIGITAL DRAX Digital video recorder

Slim line digital recorder which is a drop in replacement for any of our existing multiplexers. Designed to be fitted 'and forgotten'. There is no need to program it. Provides a CCTV  multiscreen display while recording. Playback and record at the same time. Ideal for multiple retail applications, homes and commercial premises. Costs less than the Darlex, but retains the same high quality and reliability. Compatible with our existing keyboards.

17 video inputs and 4 video outputs. Usually used within our big systems, but is a CCTV product in its own right. It switches video in response to simple RS232 commands. 12V DC input.	This is a companion product to our keyboard and RS232 switcher. It will distribute 1 RS232 signals to 4 outputs, and add together signals in the opposite direction. RS232 distribution products are strangely difficult to get hold of, so buy ours !	Big systems need properly distributed video. You can't rely on loop throughs with lots of equipment connected. This CCTV product solves that. Hum rejection and black level clamping as standard. Camera present lights are very useful,	Magnetic isolating device which will reject 'hum" from power supplies and other image distortion that occurs on both the inner and outer of the coax. This Darlex installation is in the worlds largest underground railway station. It is a good example of local and remote Darlex digital recorders working together. The CCTV system itself is quite complex.	A example of a recording system distributed over a network. The recorders are house in roadside cabinets !	One of the Biggest CCTV recording systems in the world. Tested by terrorist attack. Immune from the problems that plague PC systems. There are hundreds of units and THEY ALL WORK.

One town centre system we did not do used a PC solution that consumed 10KW per year, that's £10,000 a year in running costs alone !
